Individual Therapy

I offer one to one weekly therapy although sometimes clients need, or prefer, to come more often than this.

I work within a time-focussed (short term) counselling approach or open-ended psychotherapy and this is usually discussed in the initial session and reviewed from time to time as the therapy progresses.

How does it work?

Counselling and psychotherapy is a 'talking therapy' where we work together to understand the historical events and current incidents that are affecting your capacity to enjoy or have a meaningful and enriching life.

Through exploring, understanding and the emotional 'working through' of past and present difficulties, more options for how you live your life, and ways of engaging in close or intimate relationships may open up to you.
